The Arboricultural Association

The objectives of the Arboricultural Association are to advance the study of Arboriculture, raise the standards of practice, foster interest in trees through publications, exhibitions and the stimulation of research or experiment, and to assist in the training of students in disciplines where arboriculture is a major subject.

Constructionline is the UK's leading procurement and supply chain management service that collects, assesses and monitors standard company information through a question set that is aligned to PAS 91, the standardised pre-qualification questionnaire developed by BSI to reduce duplication within the construction industry.

Licensed by Government and supported by consumer protection groups TrustMark gives consumers confidence in their tradesman. TreeWorks has signed up to the scheme and has been independently assessed for competence and is approved to carry the TrustMark logo. TrustMark operators are audited annually, to ensure processes, standards and complaint procedures are being maintained.

The Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme

Chas are dedicated to completing health and safety pre-qualification assessments to a nationally recognised and accepted threshold standard. As a CHAS compliant supplier you can be assured that TreeWorks meets acceptable standards of health and safety.

Tree Surgeon or Arborist?

Anyone can call themselves a tree surgeon and promote themselves as such. They are unlikely to have the right certificates of competence or tree knowledge.

An Arboriculturalist (arborist), in addition to appropriate certificates of competence, will have academic qualifications in tree science. These enable them to undertake tree surgery in a safe, efficient and sympathetic manner.

See The Arboricultural Association guidance on Choosing Your Arborist (pdf).
